Great Place to Stay with Forever Friends

We had a WONDERFUL time staying at the Brown Cabin. The view and amenities were amazing! We hope to make this our yearly destination.

Perfect location

We had a wonderful stay at The Brown cabin. This is our second time to stay there. We hope to book each year for our family reunion. Love waking up and drinking coffee while watching the river flow. We enjoy the screened in porch.

Amazing

This was our third year here, and it was just as beautiful and cozy as the previous two. Already making plans to be back next year!!! Thanks Matt and Stacy!!!

Great Lodge!

We have stayed at this location 5 times, and each visit has been a pleasure. The clean accommodations include two well equipped baths, a full kitchen, and complete laundry facilities. The lodge has many features including table games, a fire pit, grill, and wonderful enclosed porch from which you can watch the river flow before you head to the dock. We have already booked our 6th stay for July.

Paradise

This was our second year staying here, and we have already booked for next year. This place is a paradise. The river, the fishing, the views, the cabin. We love it! Stacy and Matt are the best!

Beautiful Views, Ex Cabin

Myself and six high school friends from class of 1982 spent three nights in Cabin 1. We were very pleased with the cabin and the accommodations.. Kitchen has a fully equipped with most anything you would need to prepare meals. Bathrooms are very nice with plenty of towels and wash clothes. All furniture and bedding was very nice and clean. Nothing was broken, uncomfortable, or broken. You’ll love the view of the river from the large back screened in porch that is just feet from the stairs leading down to a deck sitting by the river. Morning sunrises were beautiful when looking downstream in the mornings and the bluffs upstream make for a picturesque view. We also seen otters playing in the river and a couple of eagles. In closing. I would highly recommend the cabin..

Great Amenities

We met two other couples in early April 2023 for our second stay. Everything was as fresh and pristine as it was in 2022. Each room was nicely decorated and with plenty of lighting. The place was well cleaned by the maid service who we tipped upon our departure. The kitchen was well stocked with enough dishes, glasses and utensils to handle the 6 of us. Baths were also well lit, had many fresh towels. Although we brought out own personal hygiene products, there were some provided. Hot water was not a problem. WE spent plenty of time on the screened patio that also had plenty of seating and lighting. Although we did not use, there were supplied grill and firepit with wood.' Matt and Stacy had an above average lodge for folks wanting to fish the White River.

We’ll Be Back

This was our first visit to The Shoals, and it was a perfect vacation location. We felt at home as soon as we opened the door. The cabin has everything you could possibly want and more. The view was spectacular. We may have spent more time on the screened porch and the “lower” deck than inside. We didn’t want to leave and were allowed to stay an extra day. We have already booked it for next year! Thank you Stacy and Matt for a perfect getaway!

Amazing family get away!

My family ended our stay by saying, "We liked this more than the beach!" and they aren't always easy to please, so I could end my review right here but there are so many wonderful things to say about this get away. The Brown Cabin is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is central to the house and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were super clean and comfy. Better than all of that was the relaxing screened in back porch with a lovely view of the river and bluffs. Nature surrounded us, and I especially enjoyed hearing the whippoorwills! We took daily walks along a tree covered roadway which ran along a wonderful train track. The cabins and location are perfect and my family can't wait to come back. Thank you, Stacy and Matt, for letting us stay in your beautiful retreat.

Amazing weekend!

We stayed for two nights over spring break & were beyond pleased with our stay! It was my first weekend to “get away” after the birth of our first baby, and my last “vacation” before returning to work. The cabin looked great in pictures, but it was even better in person! This mama really appreciated the sound machines in all the rooms to help with my newborn baby! The hosts went above & beyond to make it feel like home -we had everything we could have possibly needed. The views were amazing and it felt like we were in a luxurious cabin. Within minutes of our arrival, we all said “we can’t wait to come back” and started looking at dates again. We even recommended to our friends & had another family book a trip in July! We will be back!!!! Thank you!
